Manufacturing Capabilities

From prototype validation to production, our engineers help select a manufacturing process based on part geometry, material and quantity.

Engineering Support from CAD Review to Production

Engineering review, process planning and quality control support every stage of manufacturing, across CNC machining, 3D printing, sheet metal fabrication and injection molding.

  1. 3D CAD & 2D Drawing Review

Our engineers review STEP, IGES, STL, DWG and DXF files to assess geometry, critical dimensions, tolerances, holes, wall thickness and manufacturing features before preparing DFM recommendations and quotations.

  2. Design for Manufacturability Review

Before quotation, a design for manufacturability (DFM) review identifies difficult features, manufacturing risks and cost drivers. Recommendations help reduce rework, improve lead time and manage cost.

  3. Process Selection & Quotation

We assess process options against part geometry, material and quantity. Comparing CNC machining, 3D printing, sheet metal fabrication and injection molding helps identify a practical manufacturing route and quotation.

  4. Engineering Review & Quality Control

Engineers review drawings and process plans before manufacture. Production quality checks verify dimensions, tolerances and functional requirements against the approved specifications.

  5. Engineering Materials & Defined Tolerances

Select from a range of engineering materials and define the tolerances and inspection requirements needed for assembly, strength and service conditions.

ABS Engineering Plastic material example

ABS offers good machinability, cosmetic finish and low cost for visual prototypes and lightly loaded structures. Machined surfaces can be sanded, painted and screen printed, making ABS useful for housings, panels and assembly trials. Its heat and chemical resistance are limited; evaluate PC or a PC/ABS grade where greater temperature capability or impact resistance is needed.

How It Works

  1. Email CAD Files

    • Send common 3D and 2D formats, including STEP, IGES, STL, DWG and DXF.
    • Our team reviews part geometry and critical dimensions in your files.
    • Timing: File-review timing is confirmed with our team.
  2. Engineering Review & Quotation

    • Our engineers assess manufacturability and identify potential design or process risks.
    • Receive a quotation specifying material, process and quantity.
    • Timing: Quotation timing depends on part complexity and the information provided.
  3. Engineering Review & DFM Recommendations

    • Engineers review drawings and quotation requirements and recommend manufacturing improvements.
    • Recommendations may include geometry changes, alternative materials and process improvements.
    • Timing: Engineering feedback follows review of the project requirements.
  4. Production

    • Parts are manufactured to the approved process plan and production procedures.
    • Quality control throughout production
    • Coordinated manufacturing processes support efficient production.
    • Support for prototypes, low-volume and volume production
    • Timing:
3D-printed prototypes: typically 1–5 business days
Low-volume CNC machining: typically 3–7 business days
Sheet metal parts: typically 5–10 business days
Injection molding tooling and production: project-specific; an initial 2–4-week schedule may apply, subject to review
  5. Delivery

    • Packaging and shipping as agreed, with delivery tracking
    • Inspection reports and material certificates are available.
    • Domestic and international shipping available
    • Timing: Domestic shipping: 1–7 days. International transit times depend on destination.
